The publication presents a collection of projects about Matrena Makovická, created between 2018 and 2022 by author Katarína Hládeková. The book can be viewed as a catalog of the artist's works. However, as it is framed by one extensive thematic cycle, it can also be read as an artist's book consisting of a carefully assembled collage of data, poetry, and humor. It looks to the past to bring out the personality of a woman who has remained in the silence of oblivion until now. Using her example, it seeks to find possibilities for an alternative interpretation of history in the name of a desired change in the present.
